Worshipping in Spirit and Truth?

Worshipping in Truth
(Part 3 of 3)

I'm Sorry as I began to write the second part of the two part series on worhippping, I realized that I had not covered the most important part. What is worship and how do we do it? Today we will cover worshipping in Truth which is actually part 3 of the series even though I wrote it first. please bear with me. Part 2 ( Worshipping in Spirit) and Part 1 How should we Worship are coming soon.

I have had a lot of difficulty comprehending what it meant to worship in Spirit and Truth. Whenever I asked someone they either had no real idea or they gave me rehearsed scriptural propaganda, having no clue themselves. This is especially problematic when you consider I go to a Church called “Spirit and Truth” As you may have guessed I had a passion to know what it mean to worship in spirit and truth.

What I’m writing right now is God revelation to me concerning worshipping in Truth I think before I go any further it’s important to understand that I separate Worship in Truth from Worship in Spirit. I’ve been to too many website whereas the author intertwined the two to such a level that the reader did not know where one started and the other ended. To avoid that I have made very distinct lines that separate the two. If an important factor is not addressed in truth I very well may be in spirit.

Romans 7:7 (KJV)
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Second thing I define worshiping in truth as almost entirely intellectual and worshiping in Spirit as fully spiritual.

Worshipping in Truth is worship which is founded in the word of God (bible) the New Testament is especially true for Christians. Because Worshipping in Truth is intellectual it is done in a conscious effort, a physical expression of an intellectual knowledge that is obtained through the reading of the bible. John 17:17 says “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth” a physical expression (to sanctify) by way of Truth (knowledge of God’s Word.) Psalms 119:160 says “Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

To worship God in Truth we must understand who He is, and what He has done, and the only place He has fully revealed Himself is in the Bible. Worship in Truth is a conscience intellectual effort to express our gratitude toward God who is understood through His Word. If we do not have the truth of the Bible, we do not know God and we cannot Worship Him in Truth.

John 4:23-24 (KJV)
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 Godis a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

“They that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and Truth!” For every Christian this is his/her goal to correctly worship God and the above verses give us a hint of what it is that God requires from us, simply, that we be True Worshippers, and that as True Worshippers we worship God is Spirit and Truth.

What is Worshipping in Truth?

Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 12 gives us and understanding of what worshipping in truth is. Because of space I won’t add it here, I would suggest that you take the time to read it and understand it and assimilate it into your spirit.

Ok now lets try to get some truth out of this, in verse 1 chapter 12 of Romans it says “by the Mercies of God” this is our reason for worshipping. Because God has given us all that we have, it is because of His Grace and Mercy that we are alive today, it is because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, his blood spilled for the remission of our sins that we worship God, It is because of God Mercies toward us that we are motivated to worship.

  • So by right, I am not worthy of any good thing that God has given to me (none of us are) and it is this Truth of my unworthiness and my contrite state of gratitude toward God for what He has given me that moves me to worship God.
  • It is all of God’s daily blessings and eternal life, that unction me to praise and worship God.
  • It is the Truth that without the Father I am nothing.
  • It is this Truth that gives me confidence in saying that anyone that is not moved with passion to praise God, is not overwhelmed with desire to give testimony of God, is not bursting at their bellies like new wineskins to sing unto the Father, anyone that is not compelled by the Holy Spirit to Worship God; is not saved.

Now also in the first verse is a requirement to how we should worship God. “present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God” This is much more than just a requirement to take care of our bodies. To present our bodies means, to give of ourselves completely, whole, withholding nothing from God, it is to give our minds, body, souls, attitudes, opinions, thoughts, and even hopes over to God. When we present our bodies a living sacrifice to God, we are saying that Jesus is Lord over all our life, We are saying that the wisdom of this world shall not have dominion over my life, that only Godly wisdom which comes from renewing our mind daily can have dominion over me.

Renewing of Our Mind

The renewing of our mind is that thing that happens when we have knowledge of what God expects from us, and then having this knowledge we submit ourselves to those expectations of God. We renew our minds when we release the behaviors, the thoughts, pride and expectation, and wisdom of the world. And replace it with God’s wisdom. This is so much more than saying we love God passionately, that we would die for Christ, our faith or our religion. Renewing our mind is not an emotional change, not a spiritual change, it is a conscious and intellectual effort to accept God’s written Word (the bible) weather we like it or not.

There are many religions that have an emotional zeal for their faith. Extremist that strap bombs to their back, murder innocent women and children, some which even believe that by killing or dying they have an inside track to salvation and eternity. However even in this passion for what they think is God’s desires they are unable to worship. They have not come to the realization that God does not want you to die for your faith (in Christ), death would be the easy way out. No, the renewing of the mind is the realization that God requires us to live for Christ. God requires us to live for Christ no matter what the world has thrown at you.

It is impossible to worship God in Truth without reading our bible, because through our bible we find out what is the Truth of God’s will weather we like it or not. It is impossible to worship God in Truth without a renewed mind because the carnal mind is enmity against God. We can not know God with the wisdom and knowledge of this world. Philippians 2:5 (KJV) tells usLet this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” because our worldly mind will lead us only to worldly destruction. It is impossible to worship God with the mind of this world.

Finally to Worship God in Truth is continual, not limited to a place (like only church) or initiated by external stimuli (like a favorite Gospel song) or motivated by a received blessing in the time of distress. Worshiping God in Truth is God-Centered, it’s not about you in any way; TrueWorship is not for the cause of a healing, a blessing, or anything in return, True Worshipping is not a bargaining chip in which we barter with God for something in return, but the realization that God alone is worthy to be worship, no saint, angel, prophet, not even Mary the mother of our Lord is worthy to be worshiped. Oh if God would but hold his breath that every one of us that walk upon this earth would die; it; it is the revelation of the power of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, which causes you to live in a continual state of gratitude toward God. True worship is about glorifying God in all things, true worship is showing our loyalty, our admiration, our aw of His Awesome Terribleness, this is true worship, this is worshipping God in Truth

I spent the entire blog teaching the physical part of worshipping in truth and now I’m going to tell you that how you physical express your worshipping in truth is unimportant. This is not a contradiction but an understanding that, by the knowledge of God through the reading of His word you will express God in the way that you have been led by the Truth. There is no rule regarding whether we should sit, stand, fall down, be quiet, or sing praises loudly while in personal or corporate worship. The most important thing is that we worship God in Truth of the knowledge of him and that knowledge is obtained through the reading of the bible

If I have written something that is antagonistic to what you know about God tell me I’ve lost my mind, require of me to show you scriptural where I got that thought. But if you simply read and do nothing than I can be wrong and go to hell and if you’ve accepted what I’ve written you are going to hell with me. Ask yourself how important is your life?

Meekness of Wisdom

What leaders should do to avoid hurting church memebers

James 3:13-17 (Amplified Bible) Who is there among you who is wise and intelligent? Then let him by his noble living show forth his [good] works with the [unobtrusive] humility [which is the proper attribute] of true wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry, selfish ambition) in your hearts, do not pride yourselves on it and thus be in defiance of and false to the Truth.

This
[superficial] wisdom is not such as comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual (animal), even devilish (demoniacal). For wherever there is jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition), there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and all sorts of evil and vile practices.

But the wisdom from above is first of all pure (undefiled); then it is peace-loving, courteous (considerate, gentle). [It is willing to] yield to reason, full of compassion and good fruits; it is wholehearted and straightforward, impartial and unfeigned (free from doubts, wavering, and insincerity)

I get calls from church members quite often, sometimes they just want someone to pray with them, and sometimes in their voice I can tell they just need someone to encourage them in God’s Word, occasionally they call to tell me about someone in the church that hurt them.

Whenever I get that last type of call I wait on God to give me the right word for them, even while my ear is still on the phone listening to their dilemma, I am in prayer, asking God to use me as a conduit so that they may receive the message that He has for them.

Today we find members of the Body of Christ in constant conflict with one another, someone can’t get alone with Miss Green “Because she is just too bossy” or the praise and worship leader thinks he is the only one that can sing the lead for that hymn. Even though this is a problem it is not the intentions of this blog.

The intention of this blog is to address what a leader should do to avoid him or her being the origin of member’s conflict. There is nothing more unsettling then to have to apologize for another leader’s carnal handling of a member. And most of the time it is with those members that are new in their walk with Christ, those members that we should handle with the most care and love.

No one is going to be without conflict, but as leaders we are more responsible to carry the banner of Christ in all parts of our life, not just on Sunday. So when I hear things like Deacon So-in-so did this, or Elder What-cha-ma-call-it always does that, I am often at lost for words, as I wait on the spirit to lead me.

When a leader is the origin of the complaint we must take this cry for help very seriously, we have at jeopardy the character of the leader and the salvation of the member, neither of which should be fractured because of carnal thinking on the part of one or both or them. God has given leaders that they may guide those that are not quite mature in their spiritual walk with Christ. A leader is tasked with giving the Word of God in its purest form while still encouraging and being non-judgmental in the way he ministers to the flock. When ministering to the flock, the main goal of the leader should not be the correction of an individual’s problem, nor to point finger as to who’s the blame, nor should the leader use his position to pass judgment, but instead wait on the Spirit of God to lead him in what he should say. With spiritual discernment of what is the deeper problem the individual is dealing with, and spiritual knowledge of the scriptures (Romans 15:14) And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. a leader can provide the encouragement that the individual needs to move beyond his/her problem.

It makes no difference how much a leader desires to give the member what he or she needs in their time of despair, if these two ingredients are not the foundation of Spiritual Advice ( given from the Holy spirit of God) than it is just that leader’s opinion. When the leader is not spiritually led to the correct scripture, and have not properly discern the problem, and then the leader can be confounded as to what to say to a member. Many times out of pride that leader may give them what they think in their head is needed.

Moreover when the leader is not led by the Spirit of God, he can not allow his/her knowledge of the individual or their situation skews sound judgment. And any advice not grounded in the Holy Spirit is carnal and evil, be they are done with good intentions or not. (James 3:15) This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

“I did this out of Love” is never the right answer when dealing with the fragile heart of a member in need. We should never have to apologies for our actions or the way we speak to a member, because our actions and the way we speak to them must be godly, peaceable, loving, easily intreated (received) and full of mercy. (James 3:17) But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Too often I have seen members leave the church (my own family included) and some eventually their walk with Christ because they were hurt either emotionally, physically or spiritually by a leader in the Church. Some leaders justify members leaving by saying the God is weeding out the wheat from the tarries, but this is the propaganda of the devil and a reflection of the leader’s irresponsible and prideful behavior. (James 3:14) But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

If we are speaking harshly to our member we lack love, and are lying when we say we love them. If we spoke it with our mouths we thought it with our hearts, for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh (Matthew 12:34) O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. Leaders must always be alert to the seed that they allow to root in their heart, because every seed planted willalways produce fruit of some kind (sometimes a pear sometimes a prickly pear). The leader must constantly ask himself do I have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, humility, and self-control (Galatians 5:22) especially when dealing with difficult and new members. If the leader lacks any of these, then he must make corrections in his life immediately! Because the leader is accountable to God not just for his salvation but also the perfection of the saints God has appointed to him.

Happy Valentines Day Jesus Christ, my first love.

i was listening to the radio today, the gospel station Praise103.9 FM in Philadelphia, and one of the questions that asked of their listeners  today was when did they realized that they truly loved Jesus? i guess in a way this being Valentine’s day the question kind of made sense.

As i drove my car down Roosevelt Blvd  and listened to the callers respond to this question my hand moved toward my cell phone setting in the middle console. my multi-tasking skill leaves a lot to be desired so i decided rather than cause a major crash on this already highest accident prone street in the country i would wait until i got somewhere i could safely make a call.

i listened intently as caller after caller passionately recounted that moment when they realized that they really loved Christ Jesus. Even though i was still driving down the road, i could almost see the events of their lives as if they were projected on a big screen movie in front of me.

For some as they recalled the moment when they gave their life to Christ; you could hear the cracking of their voice almost to tears as they discribed that day or night. Others remember when their lives were in a state of hopelessness, and when the whole world had counted them out,  no one believing  they could find help, but they called on the Name of the Lord, and He rescued them from destruction.

Almost in tears as i listened to the stories of these men and women of God as they praised Jesus with their testimonies, i knew in my spirit that this Valentine’s Day was not about their husband or Wife in the natural, i’m sure that loved them. But for them there was a special love they had for the Bridegroom Jesus Christ that was to return for His Bride the Church at the appointed time.

i struggled to remember when  i realized that i really loved Jesus.  i had always read my bible, and i'd rather pray than eat when i was hungry. Even before i knew i had given my life to Jesus i had already given my life to Him, if that makes any sense. Unlike some people, i couldn't tell you on what day i was saved. i can’t remember the day that i consciencely said “I give my life to you Jesus Christ” to me it was almost as if Jesus already knew my life was his, He just had to get me to that place where I knew it also.

You see I’ve always loved the good stuff about Jesus, it was the hard things like Luke 14:26 that caused me distress.  i just wasn’t ready to hate my mother and father, my wife and my children, it just seem like Jesus had crossed the line in my following Him.  He was simply asking way too much, i just had not came to that place where i could fully esteem the sacrifice of my Lord Jesus Christ;  That was the reason that these hard saying were so impalatableto me. If only I could fathom what it was that Jesus did for me on the cross, then i would be able to ingest what He was requiring of me. if i could as King David says “Taste and see that the Lord is Good”

But it was my obedience to the parts of the Word that i would accept, that allowed me to mature to a point where those hard saying were not as hard anymore. I began to understand the importance of the sacrifice of my Lord Jesus Christ, the fear of the All Mighty God was in me, and all about me, i started to understand the magnitude of the Grace of God through Christ Jesus which saved my wretched soul. And i realized that i loved Christ Jesus more than my mother, more than my father, more than any gift i could receive, even more than my own life.

Now i can’t give you a day when all this happened, i can’t give you a day when I fell in love my future wife either, but i know i love her, and i know i love Jesus, and if i thought it made a difference to Him, i would surely say;

Happy Valentine’s Day Jesus Christ, my first love.

Mega Churches- Mega Lies

It is a fearful (formidable, dreadful and terrible) thing to incur the divine penalties and be cast into the hands of the living God! Hebrew 10:31 (Amplified Bible)

Again we have another "Minister of God" in the limelight because of his misconduct, Ted Haggard accused of sexual misconduct with not just one but possibly as many as ten men, including underage boys! Then on Ophrah his lies again about his conduct saying he is not gay.

Oh what is gay? We are told that just one lie makes us a liar, But how many gay affairs does it take to make you gay?

From Ted Haggard sexual misconduct, Thomas Weeks III buckweahish presentations and perverted teaching concerning holy sanctuary of marriage, to Carlton Pearson complete defiling of the gospel and utter refusal to fully esteem the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. We see a complete turning away of the men of God, and a rampant apostacy that appears to have it origin in the mega-churches were they are so easily hidden by mega lies.

Praise the Lord and hide your sons and daughters, we are as much to blame for these atrocities as those that committed these crimes. We set them (these high profile preachers) on high as if they were God. Causing the mind of man to began to believe that he is great. Haughty in spirit, and prideful in conscience, these ministers perceive within themselves that they are above the law of both man and God.

But we who are ambassadors of God must carry ourselves in a way which honors God’s Name. Because for many people the only God they will ever know is the expression of God that we demonstrate in our behavior. The world looks at us (the professed Christians) when making their decision for God. The manifest qualities that we express must prove God’s Good Name.

However it may appear, it is always God that uncovers these men, God will not allow His Good Name to be besmirched by those that have fallen (or jumped) into sin. Neither will God allow to go unpunished those that have willingly transgressed the Will of God by their lust, desire for filthy lucre, their covetousness of this world, or strange fire. That which is done in secret God will reward openly in public for His Holy Name's sake. Not that men may say that these are how the people of God behave, but so the world may know they God has not condoned their deception

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith YHWH Elohiym; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine Holy Name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. Ezekiel 36:22 (KJV)

But to them, the pastors that know Christ, the reward is even greater than the embarrassment they will endure by the hands of men, God is very clear that those that live a lie in His Name will be rewarded with a much more austere hand than the lay sinner.

How much worse (sterner and heavier) punishment do you suppose he (who professes Christ) will be judged to deserve who has spurned and [thus] trampled underfoot the Son of God, and who has considered the covenant blood by which he was consecrated common and unhallowed, thus profaning it and insulting and outraging the [Holy] Spirit [Who imparts] grace (the unmerited favor and blessing of God)? For we know Him Who said, Vengeance is Mine [retribution and the meting out of full justice rest with Me]; I will repay [I will exact the compensation], says the Lord. And again, The Lord will judge and determine and solve and settle the cause and the cases of His people. It is a fearful (formidable and terrible) thing to incur the divine penalties and be cast into the hands of the living God Hebrews 10:29-31 (Amplified Bible)

Oh Heavenly Father;
In Jesus Name i pray, that you will help me to stay humble in my heart, not puffed up thinking that i am greater than i am. Take from my heart my iniquities, my desires and give me strength to fight the lust, and temptations of this world. When i am weak and lost and tested by my vile flesh, comfort me in Your Word, send Your Holy Spirit, to deliver me from the hands of the evil one. Let not my will, but Your Will be done in my life, on earth as in Heaven. Amen

Sackcloth and Ashes

Humbling Yourself in Fear Before the Almighty

God

What is this Sackcloth and Ashes what does it mean to us those that pray and fast with the hope of seeing a move of God in our lives? What can we learn from what the Bible has to say about these Sackcloth and Ashes?

We have all heard the expression the clothes make a man. In ancient times and even today the clothes that a man wears says about him. In ancient times if a man wore purple or blue, scarlet or crimson, he was thought to be a man of high degree, royal or a governor or ruler of some type If he wore silk or any other fine material he was assumed to be even the more greater.

The Humble Self
However, when a man wore sackcloth, which was the lowest quality of clothes there was, he was saying to the world “I humble myself before the Almighty God” Being publicly naked was the most humiliating state a man could achieve and wearing sackcloth was the next level up from there. This is why the accusers of Jesus Christ took his clothes from him when they hung him on the cross naked. This was the high priest’s way of saying to everyone Jesus is not the King of Jews.

1 Kings 21:25-29 But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up. And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in

sackcloth, and went softly. And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? Because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son's days will I bring the evil upon his house.

Humility, submissiveness, and even the intent of repentance were all expressed with the wearing of sackcloth. However this was not just an outward expression of humility but a mental state in which the individual truly fears the Works of God toward him.

There are too many Christians, and people in general that think they deserve God’s forgiveness for their sin. Most who continually do that which they know is evil and contend that God is a forgiving God and he will forgive them for whatever offense they commit. Some who think that saying “I’m sorry” is repentance and have let the evil one fool them into thinking they have remission for their sins on “I’m sorry” alone. This is the modern gospel that teaches a loving and forgiving God, but forgets the cross.

Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

When we come to the realization that we have sinned against God and are not worthy of His forgiveness When come to the realization that fair punishment for our sins, is eternally burning in hell, and that there is nothing that we can do to earn our own remission. When the fear of God becomes great than the love of this world, then we can truly humble ourselves before God, even if it means the public ridicule of friends, family and enemies. Then when all our offenses are open, and we have stripped ourselves naked of all the clothing of this world, (lust, greed, wrath, envy, pride, slothfulness and gluttony) then we can will willingly gird ourselves in sackcloth and ashes and humble ourselves before the Almighty God

Esther 4:1 When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry;

Mourning for OthersThe other reason an individual would wear sackcloth is Mourning. Mourning because of the lost of a loved one, or even mourning because of the fear that a loved one would die before giving his life to Christ. A person may go into mourning as we make our petition to Christ for the salvation of a loved one, a friend or even ourselves. A man would spiritually gird himself in sackcloth as he makes his request to God for salvation from the oppressive thumb of a worldly king, tyrant ruler, or president. It is then that our request is made with such intensity that we are driven to tears, motivated by the fact that our best friends can’t save us, parents and family can’t save us, armies and leaders can’t save us; faced with the realization that unless God saves us, from our oppression we won’t be saved.

Fasting on the promises of God
After we have learned to humble ourselves then we learn to fast. We learn to put our bodies under submission, with the hope that in giving up something of the natural, we might attain something of the spiritual. But is this what we really do? Is the fasting of today the same as the fasting of ancient times?

Today we fast for all the wrong reasons, we fast for a new job, a healing, so God can give us this or that or the other, our fast are no longer a period of humbling ourselves before the All Mighty God, but a type of forcing the hand of God to do our bidding. There is no spiritual growth in fasting because those that fast, desire not to fast, they can't wait until sundown to eat, and they love the food which they should do without greater than the Savior which they can't live without. They fast but can’t see the reward of a deeper relationship with God, they can’t comprehend the importance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, they live in an "I" world which has only one letter, and no part in either Jehovah or Jesus.

Because we fast for the wrong reason we can’t see God’s glory through Christ Jesus, we only see the things of this world that we think we are without. Oh if we could realize that God’s Grace is sufficient in our lives. That as James said we should count it all joy when we fall into divers temptations, that we might be perfected in the things of God.

However we desire not the things of God but the things of this world. We say “I am trusting God for a new car, home or Job” but have never prayed for the homeless, jobless, or orphaned. We stock out closet with 20, 30 even 100 pairs of shoes but have never bought one outfit for a victim of a tornado, or gave to a charity. We think we are God’s children but we are just as lust full and gluttonous as the wicked. Who can tell us apart?

Just as the wicked King Ahab rent his clothes in the realization of his sin and the fear of eternally burning in hell, and we must also rent our bodies of our worldly sin and desires , taking into account nothing of value greater than God which gave us all that we have. We must stand naked before the world without those things which we have clothed ourselves in, naked and exposed by our pride, ego, intellect, and worldly knowledge; naked to our jobs, bank account, wife, husband, children, car, or anything that may bring us up haughty in the natural things of this world. We must rent ourselves of our prideful earthly ways and fully subject ourselves under submission to the Will of God.

Sackcloth represents the state of mind when we can come before God with a sorrowful and contrite heart, and beg with tears in our eyes, and snot running down our face, with trembling hands and fear that God may exact his just and Righteous Will on our disobedient and sinful soul. Sackcloth represents a truly contrite heart toward God. A heart that knows what it’s like to fear the wrath of God, a heart that can cry for salvation, wet the pillows in intercession for a stranger, and cultivate the expectation of healing in someone you just met, through the mercy of the Almighty God. It is when we can do these things that we are ready to fast on the promises of God

..and walk as men?

For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? 1 Corinthians 3:3 (KJV)

This blog is actually a commnet I did on another blog, "Christian World View"  one very dishearting thing I came to realize is that the Christian View of this world is tainted by the Christian rrealizees that experiences.  And  even though a person may  say he or she is renewed of mind, many have not become a new creature or if they have its not the creature God intended I'm sure.

Below is my response to  that bloging community, (the comment was not addressed to everyone in the community)  about our new President, Barrack Obama. I was in shock at the harsh and almost hateful  posting by this group of men and women who call themselves Christains.  I have stop taking the apologetic road for the success of my people and the election of President Barack Obama. I will no longer defend him for becoming the new number one offical in the United States, and put the dreams of every man, women and child of color in this country on hold because some holier-that-thou, modern day Sanheadrien wish to burst the African-American bubble.   I now question the validity of the conversion of the hearts and minds of those who claim to be son and daugthers of the one and only living God and speak with the same hate and dislike of the hate and warmongers of this world.

This is what I posted

Though this is (This blog) supposed to me about Christian views,  I have come to an embarrassing and very disquieting realization, one that is never spoken, but everyone whom has been in the faith know it to be real, one that completely impairs the thoughts and judgments of men and women that claim to be “Good God Fearing people

One that must be addressed before it  becomes a cancer that will  devour the entrails of the body of Christ, infecting us whit hatered until we become no different than all the rest of the world.

You see even though almost every Christian blog or site I have visited has spoke of President Barrack Obama (notice I rightly express his title and as the bible said gave honor to whom honor is due) as if he was the anti-Christ. This view however does not hold true at even one of the black sites or blogs, it does not hold true at even one of the black Christian sites or blog, most of white America and the sites that I have visited also are in agreement with the black Christian point of view concerning our 44th President of the United States of America Barrack Obama.

Two types of sites seem to have this view the white evangelical blogs and websites of course (just chek out these links below ), the second is the white supremacy blogs and websites. I expect it from the white supremacy sites but my belly was twisted as though someone had tied me into a knot when the realization of this truth hit me. I thought to myself that these are my people men and women of God, but I was wrong. I am as much an outsider to them as I am to the rest of the world.

True 2 Ourselves ( the new Christian movement)

There is a real separation in the Church, real issues that MUST be address, much more difficult than should we pray in school, much more difficult than if we should take down the Ten Commandments from our courts, much more difficult than homosexual marriage even more difficult than abortion. The real issue that the American church has to address is about prejudice! Yeah I said it! This separation will do more to destroy the body of Christ than all Kings and Princes combined.

Everything that is being said about President Barrack Obama, my community (the majorityof  Blacks) as been saying about our past President George W. Bush. When we realize that God does everything for a reason, (which is beyond all our ability to comprehend) than we can sit back in prayer and wait on God.

It is not for us to consider whom God has made the President of the United States. I voted for him (President Barrack Obama) you may not have, but either way he is there because God made it so. (Psalm 75-6-7) if we question how or why God did this thing, even if we say we know why God did this thing, we are saying that God did not have an understanding when he did  what he did (Romans 9:20). This of course we all know is not true.  However when the things of this world seem too confusing to us (1 Peter 2:6) or may not seem in line with what we think is God’s plan, than we must wait on God and not try to make something happen, not in our actions, not in our words, but by faith that God is always in control.

God will take care of healthcare, we will have a healthcare system where all people are given the opportunity to see a physician. God will take care of war, God will take care of homosexuality, God will even take care of abortion; whatever we have against us God will take care of it. Have we forgotten HE is God!?

In the mean time pray for our President ( 1 Tim 2:1-3) pray for our great country, Yea, my prayers are for this country, but more importantly they are for the body of Christ. First! That we should not in being like this world, miss out on what God has for us.

For you are still [unspiritual, having the nature] of the flesh [under the control of ordinary impulses]. For as long as [there are] envying and jealousy and wrangling and factions among you, are you not unspiritual and of the flesh, behaving yourselves after a human standard and like mere (unchanged) men?  For when one says, I belong to Paul, and another, I belong to Apollos, are you not [proving yourselves] ordinary (unchanged) men?  What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Ministering servants [not heads of parties] through whom you believed, even as the Lord appointed to each his task: I planted, Apollos watered, but
God  [all the while] was making it grow and [He] gave the increase.
1 Corinthians 3:3-6 (Amplified Bible)

A Religious Heart Towards God

2 Timothy 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God

So many pastors teach getting rid of your intellect and resting on the Holy Spirit,in your walk with Christ. If there is no training on how this is done or if the convert is new to the faith can be just as if not more dangerous than relying on your intellect.

It is our intellect that allows us to discern right form wrong, in fact our intellect is needed to even read the Bible. But some think that you must let go of intellect as if it was without value. However it is the religious mind that allows us to rightly divide the Word of Truth.

No Pastor will instruct you to go to Buddah for salvations, but they will ask you negate your intellect for understanding. This concept of negateing our intellect is not very different than the easteren forms of meditation where one is expected to empty his mind.  Daniel, Joseph and King Solomon were all men of extreamly high intellegence as was Luke who wrote the book of Luke and Acts of the Apostles, as well a Paul who wrote more books in the bible than anyone else two new testement examples of men of high intellect. Moses wrote the first five books of the bible had he not esteemed the scrafices of Jesus Christ greater then the riches of Egypt he would have surely been the next Pharaoh. And where would we have been without these men?

So will a man of intellect be at a disadvantage in his walk with Christ? I think not everything that is profitable to us has to do with not just where our mind is with God, but also where our heart is with God. As a man's heart is, so is he before God. We can know no deeper values than we can obtain through our hearts a real(relationship) with God

So to be religious of mind and religious of heart is two different things. The mind gathers knowledge of God’s Word, and then prepares the food of His Word for the heart to be nourished.  However if we gather with out ingestion, we began to lean (or depend on) our understanding of God’s word. This leaning into our own understanding concerning even the divine things of God, causes us to think that we have been occupied by God’s Spirit. This is religious mind toward God

However understanding of divine thing has to do with concepts, and no matter how passionate we may feel about them they cannot reach into the very soul of a man. It is in the heart that God has set aside a resting place for his Holy Spirit to work in us with power.

We think that because we can intellectualize and elaborate on the intricacies of Scripture that the Spirit of God is upon us. However if you can do these things and our heart is not right with God we are of little value to God or man.

A man can study all there is to know about the effects of food on his body; however, when he needs to eat, he must put away his study and his books and exercise his power to eat, if he does not he wiil surely die and is of no value to anyone dead. Likewise a Christian when he has studied or hears God’s Word must put away his Bible and his thoughts, put no trust in them, and open his heart to God’s Will and seek a real relationship with God, express real love toward his brother or enemy, if he does not then all that he has learn is of no value.

Jesus said " Why  call me Lord,Lord  and do not the things which I say?"( Luke 6:46)

Religious Heart Toward God

The absence of a Religious Heart is the reason for so many churches which are located in depressed areas of the city, with so many people in need of the gospel yet no one is being saved. It is the responsibility of the church to not make money, not employ the saints, but to support the community. If the saints are employed also that is an extra not a goal.

Most churches which are ineffective in their communities ‘have members which suffer from lack of a Religious Heart or have a Rebellious Heart toward following Christ. They think that because they go to church every Sunday and jump up and down, shout hallelujah, quiver and shake that they have the glory.

But the glory is not about how you feel, The Glory is when you are no longer controlled by the Galatians sins of the flesh, the Glory is when you come into the understanding that you are not worth a half of nothing and you can humble yourself before God's mighty and terrible power and realize that without Him there is no you. Then the Glory can come to you. Then when you have stop being good at being church, and you have started doing church. when your heart is right with God, god can do something with you.

Therefore in all your religious studies, remember also to study with your heart(that's an Verb) to show thyself approved unto God.
